What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“The objective for early access is here to adapt and improve thanks to community efforts, to ultimately and hopefully deliver the best possible experience.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“It is hard for us, students, to tell, but say at minimum one year, we will have to see how the game and feedback evolves to see when we can announce the full release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In the full release, we plan to make the multiplayer system fully functional, aiming for user-friendliness and the use of a secure credentials API instead of manually typing a username. We also intend to revamp the system to work with Steam. Additionally, we're looking to enhance the gameplay with more underground levels and lore/story elements. We'll obviously take the community's feedback into account as much as possible.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game in its current state is a playable and fun solo/multiplayer experience, where you can explore and build in an infinite cube world. Basically what the trailer shows. It's only missing some story/levels elements and it's still a bit rough around the edges. Small bugs may occur, but they will be fix in full release.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The early access price is not very high, and will most certainly rise the until full release, as we add more and more content to the game. The final price will depend on the quality achieved by the game in full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The game can and should be built upon player feedback, to make sure everything aligns with the community's needs. Also, it is still in its early states, which means you can help us shape IsoCraft Story to your needs and wishes! Have fun playing, and being part of this game's (hi)story!
You can send us emails or reviews with what you want us to add !”

About This Game

made by four students in 2023-2024. Isocraft Story is a Minecraft-like sandbox game made of blocks and many dimensions/levels, taking inspiration from Subnautica, Minecraft and other crafting-related games.
Place and break blocks, fight enemies, play with friends online, worldwide or in your local network. Shape the infinite and procedurally-generated blocks world of Isocraft Story. Collect materials, advance to higher tiers of tools and weapons, craft everything you like out of anything you find, go deeper into the world and build a new spaceship to escape from this planet...

The player plays an intrepid galaxy explorer who has crashed on
this strange planet. He is now responsible for rebuilding his ship, all
by trying to unravel the secrets of this extraterrestrial environment, through
careful exploration and use of available resources.
But the player is also encouraged to stay on this planet, to build
what he wants, from the small house in sandy earth to advanced civilization
thanks to the resources that he can find and assemble to progress with his
friends in multiplayer.
An essential concept of the game is the formation of the planet in "layers"
parallel and placed on top of each other, made up of cards from the game unique to
each part and sheltering unique fauna and flora. These layers serve as
progression to the player, who ventures ever deeper into this universe
hostile, looking for its history, materials for its ship, and above all
adventure.
