為何採用搶先體驗模式？

「Hullbreaker will continue to receive substantial content updates on a quarterly basis for the next few years. More than anything I want to improve the game in a way that requires support of the player base. Not only improvement but also to give the player base more of a voice when it comes to deciding what should and should not be changed/added to the game.」

這款遊戲的搶先體驗時間大約會持續多久？

「About a year and a half.」

正式版預計會與搶先體驗版有何不同？

「More weapon types that would improve the general feel and more so the replay ability of the game. Some examples of things that are going to be added is different weapon types such as Greek fire, ram augments, and different cannon/cannonball types that change the playstyle of ships on a greater level. As well as at least 80 unique upgrades to choose from.

Overall, I want Hullbreaker to be a game that is able to be played for at least 30 hours and I want the content of the game to reflect that before I would call it the "full version".」

搶先體驗版目前的開發進度如何？

「The main gameplay systems are clear and in place with the loop well established. There are 5 different weapon types in place with about 40 different upgrades to choose from and mix and matched as pleased. Some extra polish is yet to come for already existing systems. With the weather update bringing about the new wind based sailing system, 7 different new weather/hazard types, and additional upgrades」

「The price of the game will gradually increase upon more content updates.」

「I will also collecting most general feedback from posts on the Hullbreaker Reddit, Discord, as well as Steam community discussions. This will help me decide what needs to be changed or what would make a good addition to Hullbreaker.

It's important to note that I am listening closely to feedback to monitor progress, fix bugs, as well as add your ideas to shape the game in a better way for both my own sake and yours! So, if you have something you don't like about Hullbreaker or really enjoy just be sure to let me know on any of our social medias!」

I am looking to add more features to Hullbreaker to enhance the gameplay experience and flesh out more visual content. Here is some of the big additions coming up.

  • AI and PvE Mode - New adventures will await on a more open world experience! Collect loot and upgrade your Hideout with progression based game mode. Also AI ship bots for arena mode

  • New Weapons - A ship is nothing without its supply of armaments, some planned weapon types are Greek Fire, Harpoons, different Cannon types, and Skeleton Row Boat Minions! 

  • More Upgrades - Updates and changes to the upgrade system with upgrades containing both new weapon types and additions to already implemented weapons.

  • Map Additions - Different locations to battle it out with treacherous new hazards. As of right now the volcano is the next planned addition.

  • Visual/Audio Enhancements - Improvements to the look and feel of ships and combat to create an even greater intense experience on the high seas.

Already implemented features present in Hullbreaker.

  • Matchmaking system for both private and public lobbies with support up to 4 players!

  • Deadly weather hazards to avoid such as whirlpools, hurricanes, rogue waves, and volcano eruptions!

  • Wind that effects ship speed and various other mechanics

  • Flag customization

  • Roundshot, Grapeshot, and Chainshot Cannons

  • Mortar

  • Ram

  • Trap Barrels

  • Liars Dice

  • And over 40 upgrades to choose from!

Hullbreaker is a multiplayer action roguelike that combines naval warfare with deckbuilding roguelike elements. Customize your ship with different weapons to forge your own vessel to take on other players by clashing on the high seas.

MIX-AND-MATCH DIFFERENT UPGRADE COMBINATIONS!

Apply weapons to your ship to give yourself a peg leg up over other captains. Some of the armaments include cannons and different shot types, long-range mortars, and deadly trap barrels. With upgrades able to boost stats and give unique effects to each one the possibilities are endless for customization!

BECOME THE PIRATE KING

Battle up to 4 other players in a dynamic round based naval experience and utilize your ship to the fullest extent to best other captains. Create unique strategies with your ship and plan out how to counter your foes in the deadly arena.

DYNAMIC ENVIROMENT

The sea is vast and ever-changing, ensuring that each battle is a unique experience. Experience a dynamic realistic ocean simulation that challenges your abilities at the helm with many different weather effects to watch out for like strong gales, whirlpools, hurricanes, and even volcano eruptions! 

CREATE YOUR OWN FLAG!

Fly your flag with pride! Aided by a custom drawing editor that takes your very own design and applies it to your ship in game.
