Why Early Access?

“Because of the multiplayer nature of Fishing Mayhem, it is crucial that we get the game in players' hands as early as possible in order to fine tune and make the game as enjoyable as possible.

Our goal is to use Early Access to gather and implement user feedback about the player experience. We want the controls and combat to be "dialed in," every possible bug fixed, and most of all to have a fun multiplayer experience with Fishing Mayhem before moving beyond Early Access into a full Steam release, and we plan to a mobile version soon after.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect to have a full version released before Q3 2025, hopefully sooner!”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan to have more options for upgrades, arenas, and customization, as well as several game modes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version allows players to host and join games in one game mode called Fish Frenzy. This is the basic game mode, in which players catch fish and try to steal other players' fish until the time runs out. The player with the most fish wins!”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Our plan is to keep Fishing Mayhem free-to-play and supported by optional in-game purchases such as skins and boats.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We hope to spend the Early Access period listening closely to the players and making the game as enjoyable as possible.
