Why Early Access?

“I want to open my game up to the public and start getting feedback, creating a title like this as a solo developer has taken quite some effort but I am now at the point where asset creation (levels, voice acting and artwork) are where most of my development time will be spent. This was a self-taught project and an RTS/RPG squad based hybrid was a complex beast to get off the ground.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I intend on further development taking approximately one and a half years, I will be adding additonal levels every few months as well as fleshing out some of the features currently included in the game.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More levels, items, voice acting and artwork. I intend for Zero Agency to have a branching story driven by rich voice acting. Features are all implemented but some do need improving while others are not currently fully utilised.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Fully playable first mission, research tree augmentation menu and main menu / associated voice acting. All control scheme systems are in but do need improving, AI is mostly done, destroyable buildings code is done. Building are enterable using a holographic system for allowing control of agents inside of urban environments.

Due to recent sickness the second level was not finished in time for release, so that will be the first thing that gets added - a fully functional (and destroyable) cityscape in the midst of a riot.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, when the game is *considerably* further in development I do plan on increasing the price, ultimately when development is nearing completion by as much as 50%. This is not set in stone and a lesser increase or none at all is far more likely, this however has no bearing on the games development as this is a passion project first and foremost.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

About This Game

Zero Agency is a squad based indie RTS game with RPG elements where you lead 4 cybernetic agents through a series of contracts, earning credits along the way, unlocking more deadly technologies and ultimately deciding the fate of a cyber dystopic world.

Zero agency features fully destructable buildings and structures in both cityscapes and desolate wastelands, unravel the dark history of the world and embark on a mission to either reinforce the control systems that define it, or to break them.

Enable your agents to hack tech, blow apart buildings or turn momentarily invisible through a series of itemisation and augmentation choices.
