In December 2024, GreenGuardiansVR will be officially released and you can travel into the future together with your friends. Experience the high-tech freight train of the mega-corporation E.V.I.L., overcome security, fight fossil drones and face the boss battle with the Juggernaut.

Pre-release version already playable.

If you don't want to wait for our official release, you can play a pre-release version now. This corresponds to the version that can be played at Gamescom 2024 at the ARD stand and at local exhibitors such as the Klima Arena in Sinsheim.

Tricky and fun cooperative multiplayer action in VR

A mega-corporation beams you as a robot into a supposedly rosy future despite unchecked climate change. But rebels hack into the system to warn you: only together can you break through the propaganda machine, escape the corporation and save the world!

For the role of Vice President of E.V.I.L. The well-known german influencer and Youtuber LeFloid was won. Itzjanina, known from RocketBeans, hacks into the company network as the rebel Alena to help you.

Climate crisis meets science fiction meets satire

The innovation project “GreenGuardiansVR” (GGVR) is a cooperation between the SWR X Lab and the Department of Economics and Environment. Following on from the topic “Climate lawsuits against ExxonMobil” from the KlimaZeit broadcast on August 9th, the game addresses the consequences of targeted disinformation from large corporations and how important it is to be able to distinguish fact from fiction.
