Why Early Access?

“We chose Early Access for Wildlands of Faenora to engage with players early in the development process. Our goal is to make the Wildlands the best tactical roguelite on the market - to do that, it has to resonate with those who adore old school strategy RPGs (Final Fantasy Tactics, Ogre Battle/Tactics Ogre, etc.) like we do. We plan to gather feedback, iterate on game mechanics, and refine the overall experience based on player input. By involving a community of gamers as passionate about these types of games as we are, we aim to create a game that truly resonates with our players and delivers a genre-defining strategic RPG roguelite adventure.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We anticipate that Wildlands of Faenora will be in Early Access for approximately 6-12 months. This timeframe allows us to implement player feedback, expand game content and polish the overall experience. However, this is subject to change based on the development process and community input.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We plan for the full version of Wildlands of Faenora to feature additional content, including a fully-fleshed out engaging story, additional features, robust character customization and new classes, monsters, items, and skills. Additionally, we aim to enhance the game’s visual and audio elements, optimize performance, and incorporate quality-of-life improvements based on community feedback.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current state of the Early Access version includes the core gameplay mechanics, featuring squad-based tactical RPG combat, basic unit customization, and dynamic path choices. Players can explore the initial regions of the Wildlands, engage in strategic battles, and experience the beginning of the main storyline. While the game is fully playable, certain features and content are still in development and planned to be expanded upon throughout Early Access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to offer Wildlands of Faenora at a lower price during Early Access as a way to thank our early supporters. As we add more content and features, the price may increase to reflect the expanded game. Our goal is to provide excellent value to our Early Access community, ensuring that early adopters feel their support and feedback were appreciated and worthwhile.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community involvement is crucial to our development process. We will actively communicate with players through our forums, social media channels and our website. We plan to host regular developer Q&A sessions, streams, and community polls to gather feedback and suggestions. Our goal is to create an open and collaborative environment where players will shape the future of Wildlands of Faenora alongside our development team!”
