Miért a Korai Hozzáférés?

„I'm bringing Explorers of Esmar into Early Access because large-scale strategy games benefit enormously from community-driven iteration. Balance, pacing, faction asymmetry, AI behavior, and multiplayer meta all evolve in ways that are difficult to fully simulate internally.

Also since this game started out as a hobbyist project without any budget, some earnings will be spent to benefit the game.”

Körülbelül mennyi ideig lesz ez a játék a Korai Hozzáférésben?

„I'm planning to leave Explorers of Esmar in Early Access until I have added all the content and mechanics that are planned and I'm comfortable with it. This depends on your feedback of course, so there can't be a fixed deadline. It would be cool if I can release the game this year (2026).”

A tervek szerint miben fog különbözni a teljes verzió a korai hozzáférésűtől?

„I'm planning to add the things on the roadmap and I want to shape the game with ideas from the community.
Generally, there should be more content after Early Access. Also I'm planning to keep the roadmap updated so everyone will know what to expect and when.”

„Currently Explorers of Esmar features a fun gameplay loop with up to 8 players which can be bots or humans. A singleplayer and a multiplayer mode, one faction, saving and loading.”

„I'm planning to adjust the price with the amount of content included.”

Hogyan tervezitek bevonni a közösséget a fejlesztés folyamatába?

„Community feedback is always welcome. I've already changed or added mechanics, visuals and assets based on community feedback and I plan to keep that up! After all, it's you people who play the game.”

Build and Expand Your Settlement

Begin your journey by establishing a thriving settlement from the ground up. Construct a variety of production facilities such as woodcutters, stonecutters, sawmills, mines, and farms to create a robust and efficient economy. Master the art of production chains to ensure your resources flow seamlessly, enabling rapid growth and development.

Population Growth and Housing

Increase your population by building residential houses, bringing new settlers to your domain. These valuable helpers are essential for transporting goods across your settlement, ensuring the smooth operation of your production chains. They will automatically get assigned to become specialized workers, driving the efficiency of your facilities. When the time comes, these settlers can also be trained and transformed into soldiers, ready to defend your land and expand your territory. Proper management of your population is key to maintaining a thriving and adaptable settlement.

Territory Expansion

Expand your territory by strategically placing watchtowers to secure new lands. Push your boundaries further by conquering enemy watchtowers, asserting your dominance, and gaining valuable resources and strategic advantages. You can only build and collect resources within your own territory!

Play Modes

Challenge your friends or players from around the globe in intense multiplayer battles. Or play against the AI. Or both, whatever you like! A single player campaign might be added at a later stage in the development.

Explorers of Esmar is the brainchild of a solo developer inspired by strategy games of days long gone. Please join the community and take part in the development - I can't wait to see how you are going to play the game!
