Why Early Access?

“We want to gather feedback directly from players to refine balance, difficulty, itemization, and overall progression. Early Access gives us the opportunity to iterate on features, improve performance, and adjust the experience for different play styles – whether you prefer playing with a controller or mouse and keyboard.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We expect Dungero to stay in Early Access for 6 to 12 months, depending on feedback and the scope of additional features we decide to implement based on community input.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We’re still working on some crafting systems, but overall we don’t expect major additions in terms of mechanics. The focus during Early Access will be on refining balance, and polishing the experience based on player feedback — not on building core systems from scratch or expanding content a lot.”

“Dungero already features a full campaign with five difficulty tiers, a handfull of unique environments, dozens of enemies and bosses, six unique characters with distinct talent trees, and a variety of side activities to enhance progression and replayability.”

STORY BEHIND
The inspiration for this game concept was a mix of our favorite games such as Curse of the Dead Gods, Diablo or the mobile game Archero. We wanted to use the individual elements of these games that we enjoy and use them to create a multi-platform game.
At the same time, we wanted to further support all the RPG elements we love. For this reason, we created a system of altars and signposts that allow you to choose a playstyle for a given game and character. We've added resource mining, crafting advanced items using blueprints, and a magical item sets.
We developed a system of "corruption", i.e. the principle of reward and punishment, so that the player always has a choice. He can either choose a procedure with a rapid increase in skills and bonuses, for which he is penalized more by random curses, or slower tactical leveling with a smaller penalty. The primary abilities of the characters also affect the gameplay, so each game is completely different.

We are senior game developers, which started developing mobile games in 2009. To date, we have 18 mobile games on both iOS and Android platforms. The current game studio Retrobot based in the Czech Republic has 5 developer members. We make games because we enjoy it. We hope you will like our project.
