Broken Ceiling is a hand-drawn, 2D, top-down eldritch horror adventure game. Set in deep, dark caverns, the game’s main mechanic revolves around a light field surrounding the character, which must be constantly recharged to explore the game’s hidden secrets.

Относно тази игра

You were warned not to dig too deep; there was no need to go deeper. A rabbit's life can be comfortable without all the extra effort. But something urged you, pulled you in. You knew it was a waste of time, yet you felt the need to keep going—until the tunnel collapsed beneath you. As you fall, you look up and see... the Broken Ceiling.

Set in a twisted cavern prison, the player accidentally burrows too deep and falls through the ceiling of an immense underground void, descending into darkness where powerful beings reside. Unwittingly, the player becomes the key to releasing these beings, imprisoned after a failed coup to overthrow a cosmic ruler.

In this hand-drawn adventure, use your keyboard or game controller to:

Explore caverns filled with cosmic entities whose very presence threatens to shatter your mind and wither your body.

Use your lantern device to delve deeper into the unknown, but be warned, the darkness takes its toll on your lantern’s power and will need to be continually recharged.

Decipher and follow clues, supplied by the cosmic ruler that imprisoned the entities within the caverns.

Collect items that will allow you to solve puzzles and open the gates, releasing the inmates back into the cosmos
