《栖云异梦叁》延续了栖云异梦系列作品的世界观，并以全新的横板解谜形式来到玩家面前。玩家将在大地图中自由探索，收集线索，破解谜题，抵达冒险终点，寻得真相。

一波未平，一波又起，方哲和苏少言误入隐世，为了寻得离开的方法，而不得不走向阴谋之中。看似无所求的青衣女性和她口中姐妹不合的故事，半块残缺的古玉，屏风中传来的神秘求救……每每故事看似接近尾声，新的谜团便紧接而来，真实逐渐走向扑朔。
这将是一段充满未知的冒险，少年们的漫长暑假。

在《栖云异梦》的世界观之下，现实既被称作“栖云洲”，隐世便是栖云洲的倒影，它由人心所生，是一方无人知晓的隐秘世界，现实中隐而不宣的所有愿景和欲望，皆在此得以托生。

《栖云异梦》在吸收中国传统美术技巧和敦煌岩彩的鲜丽颜色基础上，融合潮流元素，以绚烂之笔，绘幻想之梦，构筑了一个充满文化色彩的故事舞台。
