Coming Soon To Early Access

The developers of this game intend to release as a work in progress, developing with the feedback of players.

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Primordialis was originally planned to release earlier, with less content than what is currently in the game. However after seeing the player engagement with the demo, I decided to spend more time on development in order to bring the game to its full potential. Early access will allow me to continue working on Primordialis beyond my initial plans, and the player feedback it provides will be invaluable for helping me to balance and refine the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I'm estimating that it will be in early access for about 1 year, however estimating development time is hard so this is very approximate.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In terms of content I am planning to add many more cell types, mutations, side areas, enemies, quality of life, and a few secret things. I also have plans for a modding api, as well as some official mods for alternative game modes and difficulties.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The full main path is complete, with 5 main biomes and a final boss. The creature building system will continue to be expanded upon, but there is already enough depth to play for tens or even hundreds of hours.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price may increase slightly when the game leaves Early Access in order to provide a sense of urgency to buy the game now instead of waiting. Although realistically, most games get cheaper in the long term due to a combination of inflation and increasingly deep discounts.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Primordialis is a very open ended game, so having a wide player base to explore its systems and interactions will be very helpful for balancing and testing. I love seeing the creative designs players come up with, and that gives me a lot of inspiration for expanding on the parts of the game people enjoy the most.

There is a discord server where players can give feedback, report bugs and ask questions about the development. Admittedly I'm not a talkative person and I'm not always the best about directly responding. However I do read everything and I try to take all player feedback into account.”

About This Game

Primordialis is a physics-based roguelike fish builder. Unleash your creativity to defeat creatures using venomous tentacles, electrical shocks, or exploding children. The possibilities are endless. Explore the primordial depths to reveal its secrets and discover what lies beyond.

================================= Create ==================================

The core of Primordialis is its simple yet deep creature creation system. Your body is constructed out of cells which each have unique properties and functions. With over 60 cell types to place and combine, there are countless creative combinations you can use to engineer your perfect fish.
You are given the freedom to play how you want, whether you want to be a massive serpent that swallows other creatures whole or to tinker with complex mechanisms and circuitry. Your only limit is your imagination.

================================= Survive =================================

In the main rogue-like mode, you embark on a difficult journey of growth and evolution. Explore the world and learn to deal with a diverse ecosystem of hand-crafted enemies, all built using the same creature creation system as you. Discover cell types, mutations and more to help you survive in this harsh and brutal world. Traverse the 5 main biomes and discover what lies at the end.

You can also play in sandbox mode if you want to perfect your creature design plans before a run, study the biology of your enemies, or just enjoy some relaxed creature building.
