«Why Early Access?

We chose Early Access for Broken Bonds to give players the unique opportunity to be part of the game’s development process. It’s not just a chance to play the game early, but also to actively contribute to its evolution by providing feedback and suggestions.

The project is too ambitious and large to release all at once. For this reason, we’ve decided to break it into several chapters, releasing them as each part is completed. This approach allows us to focus on refining each segment of the game, while also taking into account community feedback at every stage. It also enables us to make the game deeper, more detailed, and better balanced than if we were trying to release everything at once.

Early Access allows us to test mechanics, balance, content, and technical stability across a broader range of devices and configurations, while also quickly addressing bugs that may have been missed during earlier stages of development.

Additionally, we want the community to be an active part of the creation process, sharing ideas, suggestions, and feedback that will shape the future of the game. We believe that, together with you, Broken Bonds will become better than if we were working in isolation.»

«We would like to integrate more cosmetic elements into the game (such as facial animations, weather effects), turn our sketch backgrounds into full-fledged ones, add more emotion sprites for the characters, as well as include voice acting and battle animations (+opening)). However, all of this will only be possible with the support of players!»

Broken Bonds is a visual novel with a captivating detective storyline where every decision matters.

About the game

The events unfold in a world that combines Victorian era with modern elements. You will play as a seasoned detective, William Beckett, investigating the case of genocide in the ducal house of "Gentry." Together with forensic intern Michelle Rouge, he becomes entangled in political intrigues that could lead to the complete destruction of the country.

The first chapter takes 7 hours to complete and offers five endings, one of which drastically changes the storyline of the next chapter. Gather evidence, take notes, conduct interrogations, and analyze the information to piece together the full picture of this ill-fated case.

Characters

In the game, you will meet numerous characters, each playing a role in the case, carrying their own secrets and the heavy burden of their past. Will you be able to uncover all their mysteries?
