What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Although the core concept of the game is implemented, there are some interesting ideas that i would like to implement. However, I think it's important to give players the opportunity to involve themselves into some of the game mechanics development. Not only they have fantastic ideas but also they give invaluable feedback about them.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“For what i really want to add to the game, I foresee between 2 to 4 months more for development. But this number may go higher depending of new ideas that may come.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“In a very wide explanation, these are the main things i want to add to the game:
1. Configurable weapons: Give the player the ability to swap weapons for each ship class. This gives the player the control on how each ship class performs in battle.
Status: Not yet implemented
2. Ships Orders: Configurable UI where player can decide what ships can/should do when a specific event occurs. For example, What should happen when the ship's health drops below a specific threshold.
Status: Already implemented and playable
3. Ships special abilities: Give each ship class a special ability. For example, support ships heal nearby fighters.
Status: Already implemented and playable

Other "minor" improvements:
1. Add Special buildings to the Sectors Map, like Manufacturing plants, Mining Posts and Weaponry facilities that give some benefits if controlled by the player.
2. Add planetary defenses that help the player to secure planets if he controls that planet.
3. Allow the player to jump to hyperspace, when a battle is not going in his favor.
4. Add more information tool tips and dialogs of ships, weapons, bufs and other minor game elements.
5. Add a global progress bar to show the overall progress of the Dyson Sphere build progression.
Status: In development”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The core concept of the game is "finished". So players can play it to the end.
The remaining improvements and current state are listed in the previous section.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price of the game will not be different from Early Access. The main things I still want to include in the game will not make the price increase.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“I value all the feedback that anyone gives me. Anyone is welcome to join my discord server and talk about their ideas and expectations. As I mentioned before, I believe that giving players the opportunity to contribute to the game will make it a better experience for everyone.
