Why Early Access?

“The game is playable, but far from being complete. Some Core features need to be implemented and I have a ton of new features and ideas I want to implement to make the game as fun as possible, with the help of player feedback.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I am aiming to have the game in Early Access for a year, but ultimately it will remain in Early Access until the core game is complete.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I intend the full version of the game to be feature complete meaning 5 areas, 6 characters and 4 unique abilities for each character, Many bug fixes, performance optimizations and a full upgrade shop where the player can buy upgrades for each character class some details are subject to change before the release of the full version. The Early Access version of the game currently only contains 4 characters, 1 level and a hub area with many bugs and poor optimization.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The Early Access version of the game is in early alpha and currently only contains 4 characters all having the same abilities with different attack power, 1 level and a hub area with many bugs and poor optimization. See the About This section for a list of the implemented features as updates roll out.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will be slightly increased on full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Feedback and community input are very important to me. I will be gathering feedback through my Discord server, social channels and the Steam Forum. Development builds will be given to those who give regular feedback.”

About This Game

Travel through different labyrinths to track down the stolen crown before the monarchy crumbles. Stay one step ahead of the culprit using unique abilities to stun, bait and trap. In this rougelite with jrpg elements.

Years have passed since the king's death and now with the recent death of the queen. It is up to the princess to lead the kingdom, with her coronation on the horizon the kingdom is preparing for the new monarch. As a mysterious force works from the shadows to halt the coronation, the king reappears stealing the crown for himself. With madness seeping into the kingdom it is up to the royal guard to retrieve the stolen crown and uncover the truth, before the kingdom succumbs to complete madness.

Gameplay

  • Play as the Royal Gaurd a secret team of elite specialists tasked with hunting down the king and returning the crown. Switch between each character in real time.

  • Travel through different labyrinths in this rougelite, and get as far as possible before the armies of the unknown force overwhelm you.

  • Call allies to your aid, collect health orbs to regain health and collect the key orb to unlock the gate to the next labyrinth.

  • (Warning still in progress) Use the castle fortress as a central hub where you can upgrade your characters and test out abilities.

  • (Warning still in progress) Use each character's unique ability to trap and bait all enemies to stop them from getting between you and the king.
