“On déconseille ce jeu qui va rester en beta ad-vitam aeternam. Son éditeur, DBG, ex-SOE est connu pour ses concepts originaux toujours mal exploités!”

What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“Just Survive has always been developed under the principal of creating a game side-by-side with our players. We want to grow our relationship with our players and continue to develop Just Survive as an Early Access title with our community. We’ll continue to use Early Access as an opportunity to incorporate player feedback, work out bugs, and adjust and expand features to ensure the best possible experience at launch.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We have plans to launch Just Survive out of Early Access, but we want to make sure the game meets expectations before announcing a date. Our vision for the game is long-term. Over the next few months there will be new content for the game, including new POIs, map additions, and more.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We want to ensure our vision for the game is fully realized before releasing out of Early Access, which includes finishing Badwater Canyon, enhancing the Stronghold system, and more. Our goal is to create a comprehensive open-world zombie survival experience, and once we feel that is met, we’ll launch out of Early Access.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Players up to the challenge can test their survival skills in game now. We will continue to develop, implement and improve features and systems that will fully immerse players into the post-apocalyptic world throughout Early Access, as well as incorporate player feedback. Those who choose to purchase Just Survive should anticipate an evolving feature set and bugs as systems are created and refined.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Just Survive is available for $19.99 USD with optional in-game purchases.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback plays a major role in the development process of Just Survive. Our players challenge us as developers to be that much better at delivering great game experiences, and we invite and encourage them to join the conversation on Reddit, Twitter, and the Steam forums.”

A Message from the Just Survive Team

Dear Survivors,

After careful consideration, we’ve made the difficult decision to sunset Just Survive on Wednesday, October 24 at 11 a.m. PT. The excitement of the game’s promise was palpable and its loyal community is still full of ideas for its future. Unfortunately, we are no longer in a position to fulfill its greatness and the current population of the game makes it untenable to maintain.

Just Survive was part of our first Early Access project, and we learned a great deal during its development. As with any open world game, the greatest stories came from our passionate players. From the incredibly skilled base builders to the free-ranging gangs, and all of the players named variations of “ImFriendly” and “PleaseDontShootMe”, we hope everyone had amazing adventures across Pleasant Valley and Badwater Canyon.

Thank you for taking the time to play the game, to help test it when we opened the Test servers to the public, and for all of the suggestions and feedback throughout Early Access. We truly appreciate everyone’s commitment and your contributions throughout the development process. Our promise is to do better and learn from every experience along the way.

Just Survive servers will remain available for play until Wednesday, October 24 at 11 a.m. PT, and starting immediately all Steam purchases and in-game transactions have been disabled. To find out if you are eligible for a refund via Steam, please visit this link.

Thank you again for your support and dedication to Just Survive.

Best,

The Just Survive Team at Daybreak Games

About This Game

Just Survive is a post-apocalyptic survival game that immerses you in a world where humanity is fighting to take back control from the zombie hordes.

Scavenge for supplies, craft items, and build Strongholds to protect against dangers, both living and undead, that lurk around every corner.

SURVIVAL - Though the great outbreak has passed, the undead still linger in considerable numbers. Stay alert and quiet to avoid attracting them, and be prepared to either run or fight for your life at a moment’s notice.

CRAFT - Gathering raw materials is a key part of crafting. Axes, pickaxes, and crowbars allow you to harvest the various trees, rocks, and vehicles scattered around the world. You should collect what you can, when you’re not actively fending off threats.

TAKE BACK CONTROL - The first step in re-establishing society is to solidify a foothold in the struggle against the undead, and you can help by building a Stronghold in Badwater Canyon. Each location has unique advantages, so it’s wise to scout before making a commitment.

COORDINATE - Those that want to travel safely, access contested locations, and successfully defend their Strongholds will want to work together with other players. Note that Badwater Canyon is a desperate place, and your neighbors may find that they’re better off just taking what they need from your dead body.
