In their expansion, humans discovered a great danger threatening the entire universe. It's an alien species that functions as parasites, invading planets by directly embedding themselves into the inhabitants to learn about their culture, technology, etc. This threat has already decimated civilizations more advanced than humanity, so humans are ill-equipped to confront it.

Faced with the imminent disappearance of every form of life at the hands of the parasites, a unified force emerges. Unable to win a direct confrontation, they devise a new plan: The Ark.
