What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“We feel Permanence Break is in a state that offers a complete gaming experience, but it is not quite the full experience we want to ultimately deliver. We want to share the current state of the game with the steam community and get your feedback! Not only can we use that feedback to perfect the experience we can already offer, but we can also use it to improve new features and adjust the direction of development. We hope that by building and collaborating with our community, we can not only produce the game we envision and are proud of, but also one that you all can enjoy to the fullest extent.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We plan to be in Early Access for around 3 months, targeting a full release in September of 2024. We will be sure to keep our community up to date on progress and give more specific dates as development progresses.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We have 4 main objectives for Early Access development. First is the improvement of the Early Access version. Second is the addition of more permanence related puzzle mechanics. Third is to add a narrative, why are we solving all these puzzles, and how can these cubes break object permanence? Fourth and finally, give you more content. We want to design more levels, a larger hub, and give you a more bang for your buck!”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is currently a series of puzzles connected by a main hub area. There are 3 distinct permanence related puzzle mechanics and 9 levels to challenge your understanding of them. The graphics and sound assets are very nearly in their final revisions with full cel shading and a variety of musical tracks to rack your puzzle solving brain to. We also have a core set of in game settings, 4 language options and a fully functional save system”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price once we make our full release.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Through Early Access development we will make regular community posts to share the progress of new features and suggested improvements. Community members will be able to give feedback and offer suggestions through our Discord channel and google forms posted there. We promise to read through and consider all community feedback. Our goal is not just to make a game we as the developers like and are proud of, but also to make a game you all can enjoy to the fullest extent!”
