Why Early Access?

“We plan on using this time to really balance the game and address any frustrations through user feedback. We have a community discord server where your input and suggestions are really important to us. Our goal is to be one of the best games of the genre. We want to use this time to really polish the game and add some juicy feedback as well as add a lot more content; levels, weapons, characters, enemies, and possibly other game modes.”

“~12 months from early access release of full game.”

“We plan to have the full version with a lot more content; levels, characters, upgrades, enemies to better feedback systems, juicier effects, and possibly other game modes.”

“Current state of our early access is feature complete, featuring 1 level in different game modes while still having a lot of content. Hundreds of modifiers to create builds from, achievements, 50+ weapons to find.”

About This Game


This is the prologue version to the official full version of the game. This version is limited to the following:
  • The prologue version only allows you access to 1 level.
  • The prologue version allows you get through ~30% the first level.
  • The prologue version prevents you from unlocking achievements.
  • The prologue version prevents you from unlocking new characters.


A 4-player couch co-op rogue-lite bullet-hell dungeon crawling horde game that'll have you and your friends dive into the heart of the action, facing relentless waves of adversaries in a battle for survival.

Experience our dynamic daily challenge game mode feature, where each day presents a fresh challenge to conquer by mixing up different gameplay modifiers, pool of selectable characters, and enemies spawned. With each reset to the daily leaderboards, every day offers a new opportunity to rise to the top.

With multiple game modes to explore, including the ever-changing daily challenge, Letter Lancers promises thrills and excitement for you and your friends. Are you ready to carve your name into the halls of fame and become a legendary Letter Lancer?



  • Local co-op up to 4 players. Get some buddies together in person or invite your Steam friends to play with via Steam's Steam Remote. Controllers are required to play local multiplayer.
  • Stay in the action! Reviving team members made easy, keeping all players in the game without too much down time between deaths.
  • Players are rewarded more while playing with others with faster unlocks and more meta progression currency. Don't have any friends? Join the discord community and post in the looking-for-group channel.



    • 1 of multiple game modes -- The standard way the game was meant to be played.
    • Dungeon crawl through procedurally generated rooms, kill all enemies, level up, and get that sweet, SWEET, loot!
    • Struggling with your run and need a boost? We got you. Get rewarded at the end of each run, even if you fail. Rewards can unlock meta progression upgrades to make your runs easier. You got this buddy.



    • A different game mode featuring it's own 24 hour leaderboards. Top daily scores are posted in the Letter Lancers discord server.
    • A procedurally generated ruleset our servers generate that changes the gameplay experience everyday, adding different gameplay modifiers, allowing for only certain characters to be used, mixes up enemies spawned, and ether increases the player's power scaling fantasy, or gives you a reallllll hard time. How far will you make it?
    • Equal playing field: Meta progression upgrades are disabled in this mode.
    • Disclaimer: An active internet connection is required to play the Daily Challenge mode. (You can still play other modes without an internet connection)



    • Compete in leaderboards specific to level, amount of players, and game mode.
    • Standard mode leaderboards are reset with every major update.
    • Daily leaderboards reset every 24 hours, and top scores are posted and immortalized in the Letter Lancers discord.
    • Disclaimer: An active internet connection is required to post your leaderboard scores. (You can still play without an internet connection)
