“It’s difficult to estimate how long the game will remain in Early Access because it depends on how player feedback and suggestions influence the development of future game mechanics and content. We want to take the necessary time to build the best game possible. However, our goal is to provide access to the final version of the game as quickly as possible, and a 12-month estimate seems reasonable to us.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“Throughout Early Access, we plan to release numerous updates that will add a wide range of new content to the game. Additionally, we will regularly release updates for improvements, bug fixes, and balance adjustments.”

About This Game

A new evening newspaper is launching in town — and it’s yours. But The Mnemograph Chronicle isn’t like the other short “rags” the public devours every day. It’s a newspaper written by a machine: the Mnemograph. What could be easier for a genius inventor than designing a system capable of extracting information from the brains carefully harvested from the unclaimed bodies at the city morgue? The next step was to build an automated print shop, so that the power of steam could spread the news of the city’s own downfall.

The rise of the press draws entrepreneurs of all kinds every day — so why not you?

You’ll need to upgrade your print shop to reach production speeds that can compete with the most established publishers and reduce costs; regular repairs will even be necessary. The Mnemograph’s accuracy can be improved to enhance the quality of the paper. You’ll also need to manage your stock of paper, ink, copper, and coal.

But above all, you’ll have to make a name for yourself in a hostile and corrupt city where anything goes. You’ll need to get involved with the city’s underworld, exploit its criminal talents, get mixed up in its schemes, pay for its services, and wallow in the grime of corruption under the cover of night.

Build Decks by Purchasing Services from the Underworld

At night, you’ll have to protect yourself from rival newspaper bosses trying to harm you. But if you want to own the biggest paper in the city, you’ll also have to attack them using underworld services.

As you progress, you’ll meet new characters. Each of them offers different services focused on a specific gameplay style. The Underworld Boss, for example, offers basic services like thugs (orange cards), while the Politician offers more protection-oriented services (blue cards).

You choose who you want to meet, allowing you to build custom decks.

Manage Your Supplies, Upgrade Your Printing Factory, and Make Repairs

Carefully manage your supplies, buy and sell goods based on their current prices to earn money. Upgrade your print shop to reduce resource consumption and gradually increase production capacity. Maintain your machines to reduce the risk of breakdowns.
