Why Early Access?

“Earthscaper is a community game, heavily relying on its social aspects. Early Access will help us gauge which elements of the game are most important to you, the community, both in terms of social features and building tools. User generated content is the cornerstone of Earthscaper, thus we want to let the players build and populate the game world as early as possible.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“We estimate that Earthscaper will remain in Early Access for roughly 12 months, as its development will be meaningfully shaped by community feedback. Our goal is to create a rich and engaging experience, and the final scope of the game will depend on what our players find most valuable.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During Early Access, we plan to iterate heavily based on feedback from the community, to fine-tune game mechanics revolving around the social and MMO aspects, while expanding player possibilities in accordance with the learnings we gather. We also aim to update many assets and UI elements, as well as introduce various quality-of-life improvements and overall polishing. For the full version of Earthscaper, we hope to introduce additional travel options, new game modes and events, and expanded social features to strengthen community interaction. We also aim to expand the playable area by adding more places for players to explore and extra content for them to uncover.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, the playable area is limited, and the game already features most of the building tools expected to be available in the full version, along with the basic tools and special blocks to create fun minigames. Players are able to explore the city on foot or with vehicles, claim plots and create builds alone or with others, design and complete minigames, and participate in time-based events, such as recreating popular landmarks around the game world.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“While we haven’t finalized the details on Earthscaper’s pricing yet, we plan to reward early adopters with a discounted price and possibly other exclusive offers.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Our Discord server will be the main hub where our Community can meet, play together, give feedback, report bugs, ask questions, and request features. The main role of the Community during Earthscaper’s Early Access will be providing qualitative feedback, both by actively expressing wishes and requests, and through metrics and analytics we will be collecting. The Community’s opinions and feedback will actively influence our internal decisions and the game’s direction. We aim to meaningfully involve our players in finalizing the designs around some aspects of the game.
