“OctoMaze is in late stages of development. Game mechanics and design are 100% finished. Early access allows us to recieve player feedback and add some minor features before full release.”

“OctoMaze will remain in Early Access until the remaining content, balancing, and polish are complete. The full release date is currently TBD.

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“More visual effects, add story, UI improvement and more are needed. Includes adding Steam features, localization, improved same system and more.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version includes 90 main levels separated over 6 locations. After finishing each location, player can unlock location's bonus levels (over 70 in total currently). Game has minor character customization for protagonist and basic convenience settings.

Most of locations are completely or almost completely finished graphics-wise, but few require additional polish. Some non-english localizations, leaderboards and achievements are missing for now.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“No pricing changes planned. Possible DLC might be added int the future.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Any reasonable feedback would pe appreciated. That said, game core will remain the same on release, so only user experience requests will be taken into account.

OctoMaze is a puzzle-arcade adventure where you control Aristotle’s tentacle—not the octopus himself. Stretch it through compact mazes, plan each route carefully, collect items, avoid lasers and enemies, and discover unusual solutions. What looks simple becomes surprisingly tricky when one wrong move can put your tentacle in danger.

THE STORY

Aristotle is searching for priceless artifacts stolen by parasitic invaders. Guide his tentacle through dangerous worlds, overcome traps and enemies, and recover the collection one carefully planned route at a time.
