About This Game

Whelm is about a young penguin, thrust into a world of responsibility and adventure. Once a thriving sanctuary, the mysterious island has fallen into disrepair. You must rescue animals, replant seeds and repair machines. You will have to wear many hats, but the island is depending on you. Good luck and thank you for your service.



  • Explore an open world, physics sandbox.
  • Find and transport machine parts, seeds and other mysterious items with the help of your hover boat.
  • For larger transport operations, there is ample space in the house boat. But movement is slower, so settle in and enjoy the flipper free ride.
  • Repair and clean strange machines. Discover their functions and get the island back to working order.
  • Meet various winter animals in need. Help them when they are stuck or injured. In turn they will help you in your journey.
  • Plants can't survive the harsh winter. Restore the greenhouse so the animals can fill their bellies and the flowers can bloom.
  • Earn hats for completing new jobs. A good caretaker should always wear the correct uniform.
  • Most important of all. Don't push your penguin too hard. He is young and under a lot of pressure. Let him retire to the house boat for some well deserved rest. The sun never sets here, so remember to draw the shades.
