About This Game

A 3D Roguelike RPG Set in a Japanese-Inspired World

Kaguraden is a roguelike RPG where you explore procedurally generated dungeons built on 3D hex grids with varying elevations.

You play as Kagura, a one-horned boy with both human and oni blood.

One day, Kagura accidentally breaks the seal on a sacred blade enshrined in his village, causing strange events to spread across the land and monsters to emerge.

To undo the calamity he has unleashed, Kagura sets out into the mountains to recover the lost Sealing Blade and restore its power.

The World Changes with Every Adventure

Each dungeon is made up of a 3D hex-grid terrain with different elevations.

The terrain, enemies, and items change every time you enter, making each run a new challenge.

Take advantage of higher ground.
Watch your distance from enemies.
Choose your route carefully.

Read the terrain, assess the situation, and decide your next move one turn at a time.

Every Run Starts at Level 1

Each time you enter a dungeon, Kagura starts again at Level 1.

Explore the dungeon, defeat enemies, and collect weapons, shields, outfits, talismans, and other items as you grow stronger during each run.

You can return to the village and keep everything you have collected.

But if you are defeated, everything obtained during that run will be lost.

Do you push deeper for greater rewards?

Or turn back and secure what you already have?

Knowing when to continue—and when to retreat—is part of the adventure.

Collect, Upgrade, and Combine Equipment

Equipment brought back from the dungeons can be upgraded and combined.

Weapons, shields, and outfits can be strengthened, while talismans provide a variety of elemental properties and special effects.

By combining equipment and effects, you can create new possibilities for future runs.

Experiment with different setups and find the strategy that works for you.

Build Up Your Village

Use the money you bring back from your adventures to develop the village.

As the village grows, shops expand their inventories and new services become available.

Explore the dungeons.
Bring back your rewards.
Strengthen your equipment and develop the village.
Then prepare for your next adventure.

Each successful run helps you take on even greater challenges.

A Story of Human and Oni Blood

As Kagura journeys through the mountains in search of the Sealing Blade, he begins to uncover the truth about his parents—and the secret of the human and oni blood flowing through his veins.

Along the way, Kagura must face the question of who—or what—he truly is.

At the end of his journey, what awaits him—human or oni...?
