THIS IS NOT YOUR TYPICAL GAME! This game is an experiment in diegetic emersion.  There is no hand holding, no hint arrows, you have to pay attention to the world. If you have a short attention span or get frustrated easily, this game will probably not be for you. This is a game designed to present a real challenge, If you were actually dropped in an alien environment, there will be no tutorials or instruction manuals. This game is meant to simulate that experience. If you are looking for a casual game, please do not buy this, as you probably will not enjoy it. If this challenge sounds intriguing, you might find this worth taking a look.

For example, when you first reach the island, there is no moonlight (for SPOILER reasons). So when the sun goes down, it gets DARK. Like it would be if you were on an island with no moonlight. This is INTENTIONAL. You're not SUPPOSED to be able to see in the dark just because it's "easier".  There are many ways to deal with this, but that's up to you to figure out. This game will not walk you to the end of it patting you on the back along the way. This is a hostile world, and you must use your wits to succeed.

MY GODS HATE ME is an immersive sim, puzzle box in the shape of a world. Explore the island, pay attention, and unlock its secrets. You must meet the gods and face your destiny.

The game is presented in first person as you pick up, place, and throw objects to interact with the environment.
