Varför Early Access?

“Commander Bug Wars needs work on existing features and content, especially in terms of improving quality of life features. The need for testing and balancing the game is very high. We need community feedback as an integral part of the design process. It played a vital role in past projects. The game has some complex mechanics, and with many features in play, community feedback will play an important role in shaping the game's future and helping with the much-needed testing.”

“We predict the game will be in Early Access for 3-4 months.”

Hur är det tänkt att den fullständiga versionen ska skilja sig från versionen i Early Access?

“The full version is planned to expand on the current features already present. Currently, the game has no campaign, no story for each faction, and many other planned features are still to be implemented. Planned features include unique unit abilities, special powers for each faction, additional terrain conditions, different locations, and many other aspects of QoL (quality of life) improvements. The map editor is still missing in the current state but is planned.”

Hur är det nuvarande läget i versionen med Early Access?

“This Early Access version of Commander Bug Wars has two different factions you can play with and many pre-made maps. Battles can be up to eight players, either AI or human-controlled. You can recruit 10 different unique units from the Terran faction and 8 unique creatures from the Bug faction. Most core gameplay mechanics, such as battling and moving, are fully functional, giving you a sense of what the game is and how it can develop. Most features in the game right now are usable but are missing more complex mechanics.”

Kommer spelet att prissättas annorlunda under och efter Early Access?

“No, the game price will remain the same during Early Access.”

Hur planerar ni att involvera gemenskapen i er utvecklingsprocess?

“We hope to receive feedback, comments, and suggestions from the player community on our Discussion board on Steam. That's our main communication channel with our players. We also have a Discord channel ready for this purpose. Since we don't have a community manager, we may not immediately reply, but we will strive to read any suggestions or feedback and take them very seriously.”
