About This Game

Emberdrift is a side-scrolling precision platformer roguelike with a massive emphasis on speed, smooth-flowing movement, and insanely over-the-top weapon and ability upgrades. Power sliding, wall jumping, diagonal launching, grinding, grappling, and teleporting are only a few of the wild movement mechanics you'll employ to traverse the worlds. Each world is its own roguelike run that starts you with a random selection of weapons. You'll need to traverse levels as quickly as possible to unlock upgrades, carefully making decisions like whether to refill your HP or adopt a pet that will later evolve into a powerful destructive force. Should you step into a challenge room, which holds extreme upgrades if you're able to beat it, or take the safer route in order to conserve resources for later? These are the kinds of choices you'll need to make wisely if you hope to defeat the incredibly powerful bosses at the end of each world.

  • 10 vibrant worlds with up to 10 randomized levels each, and several shops, mini-games, and challenge rooms interspersed between.
  • 7 weapons all with unique alternate fire movement abilities that completely change the way you play the game, from a jetpack to a grappling hook to a teleporter
  • Upgrade weapons and adopt pets to evolve throughout the run to get some truly insane final loadouts
  • Extra challenge run modes for every world that unlock cosmetics and ensure endless replayability
