Waarom vroegtijdige toegang?

'Right now I think that you will have fun playing Slingshottr. Having said that there are lots of further features I plan on adding, and getting more feedback from players will help me to test and balance these features. The game is a complete experience, but has plenty of room to grow.'

'Slingshottr is currently planned to be in early access for around 6 months, provided I feel happy with it and the players' responses are positive.'

'Slingshottr is in a complete, playable state. However, I want to add many more enemies, scrap items, upgrades, and events. Since the beginning, the more content I have added to the game, the more fun play testers have had. I also plan to fix any bugs that crop up, and polish existing features further.'

'Slingshottr is currently playable with up to 4 players. Players can currently explore up to 127 sectors of space, collecting various types of scrap while avoiding enemies and hazards. There are 4 unlockable ships to choose from, and 6 different stackable ship upgrades. Several different random events can occur within almost any sector.

Players can also gain ranks via clearing sectors, and see more detailed statistics on their "my stats" page.'

This could include simpler things like tweaking an existing feature, or more complex ones like adding a new feature entirely. There are many avenues open to explore with development of Slingshottr.'

Over dit spel

You have been assigned to Station 32 - a flagship new space station with warp capabilities. You will be acquiring scrap materials throughout the sectors and depositing them at the station. Your ship is equipped with a tether that you will use for almost everything, from collecting scrap to towing teammates. Good performance will result in Management allowing you upgrades for your ship, alongside granting access to new ships entirely.

Clara will be your line manager in charge of station operations. She will be invaluable for quick information about what is happening in the sector. Management is only able to provide so many spare ships if you wreck the ones you are given, so try to look after them.

Scrap comes in all different shapes, sizes, and values. Hauling really heavy scrap can be slow, so get your teammates to help. If a teammate's ship is heavily damaged, they could be a sitting duck - help by towing them back for repairs.

There will of course be others looking to capitalise on the bounty of scrap available across the sectors. So watch out for them. Management may be willing to provide strictly defensive firepower if your performance is deemed satisfactory.
