As time passed, the power of the crystals gradually faded. When the crystal's light dimmed, the first summoners built the Summoner's Academy around it, deciding to protect their home with human strength alone.

Centuries later, an evil summoner, having strayed from the path, destroyed the academy and sought to use the academy's crystal to summon demons again.
