About This Game

Utopia Must Fall is a retro-flavored base-defending arcade shooter with rapid progression, procedurally generated attack patterns and enough upgrade variety to potentially qualify for any one of the overused 'rogue' keywords.



  • Easy To Learn: firing happens automatically, just aim your city's turret with the mouse and click for the occasional screen-clearing nuclear warhead.
  • Sizable Upgrade Tree: progress is fast and allows you to pick strategies that suit your playing style... beef up your rail gun into a triple-spread death machine, focus on your shield's recharging ability and auto-defense, deploy and configure an array of auto-aiming laser turrets, or go all out on nuclear weapons research and vaporize everything in the stratosphere.
  • Arcade-Focused: there is no meta-progression (yet?). You unlock new upgrades solely based on your performance in a single gameplay session, so the game is appropriately challenging. Get good to get the good stuff!
  • Laser-Shiny: built with the new V99 engine for a retro-modern classic arcade vector style, that you didn't know you needed yet.
  • Darkly Humorous: the world is ending soon, so you might as well have a laugh about it.
  • Affordable: reasonably priced to help offset the unreasonable cost of everything else.
