About This Game

Eve of Destruction is an illustrated 2D action RPG dungeon crawler, where you play as Eve, a tiny creature awakened from their eternal slumber and sent to the Spirit Realm – a world in ruins, ruled by Demons and Knights

GAME PILLARS

  • Choices and Consequences.
The repercussions of every choice made is interconnected to a game aspect, enhancing the game’s overall replayability.

  • Roguelite aspects.
Whenever Eve dies, the player will start at the beginning of the level in which they died. The Player moves between the areas through the Alchemy Portal Fragments present at the end of a level and in the HUBs.

  • Diversified Dungeon Experience
Every level is designed with its own peculiar mechanic, and hidden or unlockable shortcuts, allowing a faster course through the level whenever the Player starts again at the beginning.

  • Character growth
Choices made through the story dictate Eve’s progression: either following the path of Knight’s Valour or choosing to be a Force of Nightmares, offer the player a diverse approach to the game.

EVE

A sweet creature, which naturally behaves like a "disgusting little monster". Eve interacts with an alien world, inhabited by Demons and Knights who constantly tease and mistreat them due to their meek appearance, in spite of their key role in the game.

FIGHTING

Underestimating the Sleeping Spirit is a mistake made by many, after all, who wouldn't? Just from their appearance, they don't look like a sharp-minded creature, and they certainly don't seem capable of wielding any weapon properly.

However, the Sleeping Spirit is a legendary creature with hidden powers. Their claw strikes have good range due to the shockwave they generate, ripping through just as a chainsaw repeatedly hitting a giant ketchup packet.

EYES

The Eyes are tied to the Force of Nightmares skill set, and can be used when Eve is in the “berserk” state. Every pair of Eyes can be obtained by choosing to tear them from a Boss or a key NPC encounter, unlocking new forms and skills for the “berserk” state.

SWORDS

The Swords allow the player to use the Knight Skills, if they obtain them during a level and do not collect Eyes. Every Sword has two slots for active and passive skills, varying from one another.

GAME EXPERIENCE

To be or not to be a monster?

It's not easy being a little monster with bulging eyes, a hairy and stinky body in a ruthless world of armoured Knights and colossal monsters. No one respects you, and everyone either uses you or makes fun of you. Moreover, they've ripped out your eyes and sent you to destroy entire worlds when all you wanted was to sleep.

Eve of Destruction is based on the choices and emotional consequences they entail. The player is tempted by the simplicity of committing evil actions. In Level 0, the player can attack or help a blind Knight who, sensing the character's steps and smell, provokes him. If the player manages to kill him, the player gains a secret reward but loses a friend and support within the game.

A WONDERFUL WORLD IN RUINS

The backstory reveals the choices that led to the downfall of the Spirit Realm. Each character suffers from the choices made in the past and their consequences:  Greater Demons have been defeated and imprisoned, Knights remember the traumas of all the wars experienced in the World of the Living and in the Spirit Realm.
