Pourquoi choisir l'accès anticipé ?

« As a hobby developer with little experience in game design, I find it invaluable to receive feedback on my work, prior to completely finishing the game. It's difficult to find sufficient time to make sweeping changes after devoting so much time and resources into just making the game in the first place. So, as a huge time saver, I want to gain as much feedback as possible so that I can complete the game with those criticisms in mind. »

Pendant combien de temps environ ce jeu sera-t-il en accès anticipé ?

« I'm targeting roughly June for a full release. If major changes are needed, the target will get pushed back. »

En quoi la version finale sera-t-elle différente de la version en accès anticipé ?

« The game currently consists of the tutorial, first level, and a separate boss fight. For the full release, the plan currently is to extend the tutorial to a full size level with its own boss fight, and apply extra polish to the available level. There are also plans for two more levels with their own bosses and some new mobs, and then an unlockable fifth level of only the boss. »

Quel est l'état actuel de la version en accès anticipé ?

« Only the tutorial and the Abandoned Kingdoms level are available right now. The tutorial acts as a shorter, linear level that explains the core mechanics of the playable Knight (e.g. movement, attacking, boost, etc.) and the gameplay loop of each level. The Abandoned Kingdoms level includes 6 unique mobs, platforming through different environments, environmental hazards, and a boss at the end of the level. »

Le prix du jeu sera-t-il différent pendant et après l'accès anticipé ?

« Yes. The version of the game with just the tutorial and the Abandoned Kingdom level will be free of charge. However, there will be a charge for the full release. »

Comment comptez-vous impliquer la communauté dans le processus de développement ?

« I'm just looking for feedback from the reviews and discussions so that I can make adjustments and balance updates to the game. For instance, based on feedback prior to Steam, I've been several updates to fonts, gameplay mechanics, and balancing. Based other feedback, I have plans to future extend the tutorial to ensure the player has a positive initial experience. »

À propos de ce jeu

Welcome to Slayer Knight, a challenging side-scroller action adventure where you play as the Knight. As the Knight, you must slay a variety enemies with timing and spacing, perform intricate platforming, defeat the almighty Ancients, and do so as quickly as possible in order to become the Slayer Knight. In doing so, you will eliminate the chaos ravaging the Lands.



At this point in time, the first two levels of the game is available--including the tutorial--where the intent is to get feedback from others as the rest of the game is getting developed. The tutorial will eventually be expanded to a full size level. I'm keeping the scope of Slayer Knight down to a total of four levels and a smaller, unlockable fifth level. The first four levels will consist of various enemies, platforming, and a boss at the end. The fifth will just have a boss that will test everything the Knight has learned throughout their journey in the Lands.
