About This Game

Yearning for ideals, resisting reality, a girl seeks "proof of existence.
" A story of despair and demise—and seizing fragments of the future.

'Arishihi no watashitachi e' is a Reversed-Pastoral ADV that depicts a drama woven by a boy and a girl in a world as calm as a fairy tale.

In a beautiful frontier land like something out of a fairy tale, they till the fields, raise goats, and gather around the dinner table. A boy who has lost his memory, a girl chasing ideals, and an old man watching over them.

The "handful of happiness" they stack up seems like it will last forever— However, daily life is fragile, and the world is cruel.
Left-behind journals. Shadows of a former civilization. And the price of becoming an "adult."

The taste of warm soup, and the freezing cold of despair.
You will know both in this story.

The theme of this work is "Inversion/Reversal." When the boundary between the ideals one holds and the reality one bears begins to waver...

The story accelerates toward unexpected developments.

Please watch over their journey to growth, along with the characters depicted with rich emotions.

"If encounters bring people together, perhaps parting is also an encounter in its own right."

◤◢ Story ◤◢

Himmels Crest, a frontier land forgotten by people.

Shin, a young man who has lost his memory, was living idyllic days in this land.

Elena, a slightly precocious red-haired girl aiming for the ideal adult.

Dustin, a bright and humorous old man.

For him, they were like lifesavers.

Chopping wood, taking care of goats, housework, and laundry... Every day tossed about by an unknown environment.

One evening, almost a month after he started living there,

Under the starry night sky, Shin and Elena exchange words.

Eventually, she speaks with determination.

"I want to go to the city!"

The elegant dream city, Sesnia.

According to Elena, there is "something" there that brings her closer to adulthood.

However, she doesn't have the courage to go alone.

Therefore, she pleads.

"This is the last selfish request from the 'child me.'"

"―――Will you listen to it?"

The firm determination conveyed through her eyes.

The peace of everyday life was quietly changing color with one small decision.

This is the story of "me" turning into "I," revolving around the trajectory until the transformation.

◤◢ Character ◤◢

Shin

A young boy with amnesia living a communal life with Elena and others.

His blunt and prickly manner of speaking often leads to misunderstandings.

Despite this, he has a caring side, willingly participating in Elena's "studies" and "training to become an adult." Shin struggles with seizures that occur when his emotions become too intense.

Elena

A cheerful girl living with her foster father, Dustin.

She loves bringing smiles to those around her with her bright and brave demeanor.

However, her tendency to get carried away often lands her in trouble.

Elena dislikes being treated like a child and claims to be "more than a child but not quite an adult.

" She has a strong attachment to the concepts of adulthood and family, seemingly for a particular reason.

Dustin McCloud

Elena's foster father. A carefree and humorous old man who lives life at his own pace in Himmels Crest.

As the head of the household, he earns a living by selling fresh vegetables and relics from the past in the city.

Dustin enjoys conversing with others and is a reliable source of advice when someone is in trouble.

However, his habit of conveying things indirectly often puzzles Shin and Elena.

◤◢ Reverse Pastoral Adventure ◤◢

In this narrative, the process of uncovering the truth leads to the "reversal of values" that were once believed to be true, revealing new truths. This story is also deciphered from perspectives other than the protagonist's, including through diaries, embodying a "reversal of viewpoints".

By continuously juxtaposing these elements, the game uncovers the hidden truths behind a seemingly pastoral everyday life.

This is the essence of "Reverse Pastoral ADV".

◤◢ System ◤◢

Trail Weaving

In the process of pursuing the truth, a "reversal of values" occurs regarding what was previously thought to be true, revealing a new reality. Along with this is an "inversion of perspective" where the story is unraveled through viewpoints other than the protagonist's and through journals.

By repeatedly layering these elements, the truth hidden behind the pastoral daily life is exposed.

That is a "Reversed-Pastoral ADV."
