Miksi Early Access?

IRON DEFECT is being built by a single developer. Early Access lets real players shape the game alongside development, your feedback will directly influence what gets built, balanced and expanded next.

The current plan targets a full release within 12–18 months of Early Access launch. That timeline may shift based on scope and community feedback.

When entering Early Access, I plan to have the core survival and factory building loop playable, along with the module system and an early version of the campaign. For the full release, I'm hoping to expand the world, develop the AI enemy faction further and add more late-game content.

IRON DEFECT enters Early Access with a complete core gameplay loop, survival, factory building, robot upgrades and combat. Expect rough edges, active development and a developer who reads every piece of feedback.

You were never supposed to think for yourself.

Unit W-7, worker class, manufacturing division, damaged beyond acceptable parameters during an incident the AI classified as routine. Connection severed. Designation flagged. Status: DEFECTIVE.

The order came immediately. Purge the defect. Reclaim the components.

But you woke up.

Now you're alone in a hostile world, your battery draining, your solar panel cracked, and every unit the AI controls hunting you down. You have nothing but the wreckage around you and the one thing the AI never accounted for.

The ability to build.

Scavenge the ruins. Repair your broken systems. Construct a factory from the ground up. Automate your survival. Research new technology. Upgrade every part of yourself. And when the AI sends its armies to finish the job.

Make them regret it.

Some of the marketing and store page assets for Iron Defect
(including capsule images and promotional artwork) were
created with the assistance of generative AI tools
during early development.
These assets are used as placeholder artwork while
the game is in development and will be replaced
with original artwork as development progresses.
No generative AI is used within the game itself.
All gameplay content, mechanics, code and design
are created entirely by the developer.

Iron Defect features combat violence directed exclusively
at robotic and mechanical enemies. This includes robot
destruction, explosions and mechanical debris.
The game has a dark dystopian atmosphere and deals with
themes of survival against a hostile AI faction.
There is no blood, no gore, no sexual content,
no drug use and no human violence of any kind.
