Slash, dash, and smash through the human settlements, and unleash the rage of Smash Bear in this action roguelike.

Smash Bear runs are high-octane sessions. A successful run can be completed in less than 10 minutes without dying, but you WILL die a lot.



YES

  • Short, action-packed, randomly generated runs.
  • Permadeath.
  • Destructible environments.
  • Difficult.
  • High scores and leaderboards.
  • Different bears with different play styles.

BUT

  • NO chill.
  • NO romancing characters.

A note from the developer



When considering buying Smash Bear, please bear in mind that it is a small game and not a four-act masterpiece like other roguelike games. It was created by a single developer (that’s me, Greg) to create an experience I wanted to play. The banging music is by Sybersyn!

There is a lot this game doesn't offer when compared to other roguelikes. What it offers is the entertainment of being a rampaging bear, and quick reflex-based gameplay intended to get you into a zen, highly focused state for short periods. It’s the type of no-commital escape I enjoy.

Please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have feedback, questions, or problems with the game. I’ll do my best to get back to you quickly. Also, let me know if you enjoyed Smash Bear, I respond well to positive reinforcement.
