If you've been looking for something difficult to play, this is the game you're looking for. Gunning for Jean's bosses each have unique abilities that will have you devising strategies to defeat them. Once you reach Big Jean, you will truly be tested - he has the abilities of every other boss combined.

Gamemodes

Endless

An endless version of Default. After each boss kill, you can choose an ability to take with you until you die. Bosses gain +10% stats after each Big Jean kill, and they spawn without a countdown.

Endless+

A more intense version of Endless. You gain stronger abilities after each boss kill, and after each Big Jean kill, an extra boss will spawn each round (for example: 2 Johns after first kill). Bosses gain +20% stats after each Big Jean kill.

Regular

The original Gunning for Jean gamemode. Fight John, Hector, Greg, and Big Jean. After each boss kill, you gain +20 health. The game ends after killing Big Jean, and your time may be submitted to the leaderboard.

Buildups

A much longer and more difficult version of Default. After each boss kill, the game difficulty increments, and the same boss spawns again. After beating that boss on the hardest difficulty, the next boss will spawn with the difficulty reset. You also gain an ability after each boss kill.

Sandbox

A gamemode where cheats are enabled and you can test out anything you can imagine! Use /help in game to see a list of commands, or /scripting to learn how scripting works.

Even harder ways to play

If the regular game isn't enough for you, we have gameplay settings to make your experience even more challenging.

Gameplay settings:

• Difficulty - There are 5 difficulties for even harder gameplay after you beat the original game.

• Arena Size - Change the arena size if you're looking to change things up - a smaller arena might make things more intense.

• Guns - Restrict yourself to only the starting pistol, or even just your fist!

• Powerups - Disable powerups, such as health, damage, fire rate, etc.

• Oneshot Mode (HARD!!! Only for the most advanced players) - In this mode, a single hit from any enemy will kill you, no matter what.
