When ChatGPT came out, my first thought was: how can this be used to improve games?

Cursed Diamonds is the first step towards answering that question. I'm focusing on interactivity, giving you the ability to have a free-form fluid conversation with characters, while also having a clear goal in mind: figuring out a mystery.

I did a lot of research and experimentation to find the best way to connect the conversations with actual consequences in the game world. This is the key ingredient to go from simply having background characters (that just add some color) to making conversations a central mechanic of the game.

The price of the game is the lowest I could make it that would still cover the cost of connecting to OpenAI's services.

The visuals are also generated with AI, to lower the cost of production and to focus on the conversation aspect. I'm not an artist so this was the only way to get it done with the budget I had.
