Follow Bonnie, a young slime, through a jungle adventure!



The World
A ruined jungle, once peaceful and free, has been overrun for over a decade now by the Rulers, Slime Monsters of great power that have turned the animals, plants, and other wild inhabitants of the jungle hostile. After learning of the death of her father at the hands of these invaders, Bonnie swears that she will take them all down.



Exploring the jungle of the Mother Tree, venturing from the safety of her home village, she'll see places and meet people she's never seen before. From the heights of the Crown to the depths of the Abyss, and the edge of the Lake to the furnaces of the Flaming Mountain, tame the world and free it.

With 9+ different handcrafted biomes and environments, each with unique enemies and challenges, the more you explore, the more you can build up your map, assuming you have the materials to further construct it.


Cores
Like all slimes, Bonnie has a Core. Unlike most slimes, hers is more than just the heart and center of her being. She has the ability to use the cores of enemies she has defeated, taking on a form similar to theirs and gaining their unique abilities in both combat and exploration, based on the plants or animals they've copied. Visiting the Core Smith will allow her to not only upgrade her cores as she grows stronger, but also split them, allowing her hybrid forms that combine the strengths of different forms she'll be able to gain.



Enemies
In addition to the invading Rulers taking over the jungle, it has become more wild and hostile in the past decade. Animals and plants of all kinds stand in the way, attacking any who dare to venture out of the few safe areas of the world, not to mention the broken fragments and murderous elementals...

Different enemies and types will give you different resources, from those that allow you to heal, brew teas, build your map, barter, to upgrading your cores. Surviving will keep you alive; hunting will make you stronger.


Characters
From the familiar safety of her home to the hidden parts of the jungle and beyond, the world is full of unassuming friends and rivals. Explore the world and meet new people for the first time, encountering them as they are on their own journeys.

Slime Cores depicts cartoon violence with the player character killing plants, animals, and other creatures in a non-gory, non-bloody fashion. The resources obtained from this (leaves, meat, and gem fragments) can be used as materials for maps, character upgrades, and consumables.

There is also a backstory of the death of a parent before she was born, as well as bad guys/conquerors, and such.
