What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“While developing Folk Tales: Alageyik, we want to shape the story and atmosphere we envision together with players. The foundation of the game is ready, but it's still a work in progress.
Through Early Access, our goal is to share the existing chapters with players and gather feedback that will directly influence how we refine and expand the game.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The core structure of the game is already in place. Once we finalize the current levels and content, we aim to move toward a full release.

During the Early Access period, we plan to:
- Add new content based on our roadmap,
- Improve existing systems,
- Continuously refine the overall gameplay experience.

We currently estimate that the Early Access phase will last approximately 3 to 6 months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“We aim for the full version to include additional chapters and content to further enrich the story and gameplay.
We also plan to continue refining game systems and mechanics to deliver a smoother, more balanced, and more immersive experience.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“4 playable episodes, Each chapter offers a distinct atmosphere, enemies, and storytelling elements, creating a dark and engaging journey. A more challenging and highly replayable Survivor Mode is also included.

Most core gameplay mechanics are implemented, and the game is fully playable in its current state. As development progresses, we plan to expand the content and improve overall polish.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We currently do not plan to change the price after Early Access. Even as we add new content, our intention is to keep the current price the same.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback is incredibly valuable to us. While we are guided by a clear vision, we’re also listening closely to our players.

We welcome feedback through our Steam forums, Discord server, and social media, and we will do our best to consider and implement features and improvements suggested by the community.”

About This Game

Folk Tales: Alageyik tells a dark story inspired by Turkish myths. A hunter who has lost his family shoots a deer during a hunt at sunset. In that moment, darkness takes shape and Erlik appears. This encounter drags him into a night full of nightmares. When he awakens, the Ala Geyik stands before him—calling him to a journey where he must face his past, the loss of his family, and the darkness within himself. The story unfolds as a personal reckoning, where dream and reality intertwine.

Erlik is the ruler of the underworld in Turkic mythology. Once a being tasked with creation, he was punished for defying God. Now, he is the lord of death and darkness; he commands decayed souls and stands as a symbol of forgotten justice.

The Alageyik is a silhouette that appears in the night; neither fully real nor entirely imagined. In Turkish folk tales, it is known as a sacred, mysterious, and untouchable being. In the game, pursuing it is not just a hunt—it is a confrontation with darkness, the past, and destiny.
