Why Early Access?

“I want to put "The Krampus" in early access because it allows me to release the game sooner and adapt it based on valuable community feedback. By releasing the first level and online co-op, players can dive into the horror experience sooner while actively participating in shaping the game's future. This decision not only accelerates the game's availability but also ensures a more tailored and engaging experience as I continue to refine and expand the content based on player input. Early access provides a unique opportunity for the community to influence the game's development, making "The Krampus" a collaborative and thrilling horror adventure from the start.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I expect "The Krampus" to remain in early access for an estimated six to nine months, during which I plan to incorporate player feedback, refine gameplay mechanics, and expand both the single-player, and co-op storyline and multiplayer content. This timeframe allows for a comprehensive development cycle, ensuring a polished and fully-realized horror experience by the time the game reaches its official release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game would have five or six levels to play, compared to the one or two levels in the early access version. I would also create a online multiplayer competitive mode where one player can play as Krampus and the other players will try to hide or escape.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“One large levels, the first will be a house that the players will need to navigate out of, and the second will be Krampus' workshop where the players must escape from. There will be a online co-op mode with an AI Krampus, as well as offline single player, in early access.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The price will not increase when the game is fully released.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Getting feedback from reviews, fixing reported bugs, or even playing online with the Community in the game would help shape the rest of the game moving forward.”
