Why Early Access?

“As a small development team, releasing Gloomsday early access will allow us to focus our efforts where they are needed most through feedback from the community. Our primary goal is to make the game as good as it can be before official release.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“The game will be in early access until all of the major mechanics have been implemented, aiming for a full release several months into 2024.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“During the early access period, we plan to flesh out a survival mode, which will include map objectives in addition to defeating enemies. In addition, we are in the early development stages of a story mode, part of which we plan to make available during the early access period.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“Currently, we have implemented the time trial mode, which requires defeating a group of enemies as quickly as possible. Before the round begins, the player may choose from any of the currently available spells to use.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to increase the price upon release as well as gradually increase the price as new features come out.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“The primary method for engaging with the community will be through the game's discord server, where players will be able to post feedback, suggestions, and bug reports.”
