Miksi Early Access?

We have big plans for Petal 2, including online play and a brand new adventure mode - but there's plenty of arcade action that's already ready to go! We didn't want to make people wait to get their hands on the new game.

Miten kauan peli tulee arviolta olemaan Early Access -vaiheessa?

It's hard to estimate how long development will take, but we have a clear vision for what v1.0 will include. As of now, we anticipate that the game may be ready some time in mid to late 2026.

Millä tavoin lopullinen versio tulee eroamaan Early Access -versiosta?

While we have the basic score attack and versus modes ready to go, we plan to release new content in major updates, including:

Hidden characters and cosmetic unlockables
A complete puzzle mode and puzzle editor
The original story mode from the first Petal Crash, remastered
Online play, with lobbies and rollback netcode
A new run-based adventure mode

Mikä on Early Access -version tila tällä hetkellä?

Right now, we have eight playable characters, and the arcade modes working, enough to dip your toes into the game and enjoy it with friends in person. Chase high scores, battle with friends, and prepare for the challenges to come!

Muuttuuko pelin hinta Early Access -vaiheen jälkeen?

We currently don't have plans to change the price of the game between Early Access and the final release.

Miten yhteisö otetaan mukaan kehitysprosessiin?

We're always looking for ways on how to improve the game - that's why we're making Petal Crash 2, to incorporate feedback from the first game to make something even better! We'll be monitoring the Friend & Fairy discord, and will take player feedback into account with regards to scoring, balance, and new modes and mechanics. We'll also be accepting submissions from the community for player-designed puzzles to include in the full game.

Simple rules bloom into endless puzzle possibilities in Petal Crash 2!

It's easy to get started: Throw blocks around your board and match them into bursts of color, sending other blocks flying. Line it up right and you can cause a cascading chain reaction of floral fireworks! Petal Crash takes a minute to learn, and years to master - and it'll be a blast the whole time!

In the fantasy land of Florea, seven magic flowers each found their way into the hands of an ordinary person with a dream, and set them on a journey to find their hearts' true desires. Colorful clashes marked where their paths crossed, and each found a way to fulfill their wishes - though they aren't the only ones with dreams, and there's more than one way to make a dream come true... ready or not, it's time for another Petal Crash!

Petal Crash 2 takes everything good about the first game to the next level. Streamlined mechanics make gameplay smoother than ever, and the action is easy to follow with new arcade style graphics. All game modes are making a comeback, including the original story mode, now with vibrant visual novel style portraits and new, extra expressive animations for every character.

There's plenty of arcade action to be had in Early Access, with more to come as the game develops - including built-in online play and a brand new adventure mode! Take your first steps with us on your new puzzle journey!
