Ren, in the face of an impossible order, cuts down his Shogun in cold blood. Alongside the baby he refused to kill, the duo makes their escape and settles into a normal life. As time passes, Ren waits anxiously for his past to catch up to him.

Years later, the Shogun's children seek revenge for the death of their father - not only on Ren, but on the young boy he cares for.
