In Blood & Bytes: Kagura you are not a chosen hero.

You are part of the last human squads holding the line in a ruined Japan where cyber-yokai flood the streets every night.

Each run is a last stand against the next wave: grab your weapons, sync with your team and dive into neon-lit districts haunted by corrupted spirits, abandoned shrines and towers lit by synthetic light.

Survive long enough, grow strong enough… and maybe you’ll get one step closer to Kagura, the entity that feeds this endless war.

This is a fast, intense co-op roguelike about staying alive together in a world that should have already fallen.

Blood & Bytes: Kagura is built around short, high-tension runs with friends.

Choose your warrior, jump into a run and fight through escalating waves of cyber-yokai across different districts of the city. Between each wave you’ll make quick decisions: new abilities, upgrades, weapon improvements and team synergies that can save your squad or completely destroy it.

The heart of the game is cooperation. Every role matters: damage, crowd control, support, clutch revives and last-second ultimates. The best runs are the ones where your squad talks, adapts and finds strange combinations that shouldn’t work… but somehow do.

Go in together, die together, learn together… and jump back in, each time a little stronger and a little more reckless.

Your squad is made up of warriors who carry the scars of the war against the cyber-yokai. Ren and the rest of the roster contribute bring unique weapons, passives and ultimate abilities that completely change how you approach each run.

Collect technology to unlock upgrades and twist their roles:

• Turn a support into a walking storm of crowd control.

• Build a melee glass cannon that deletes bosses but lives on the edge.

• Create a hybrid build that keeps the team alive just long enough to escape the next wave.

No two runs are the same. The more you experiment, the more synergies you’ll discover… until the next wave proves you wrong.

The war between humans and cyber-yokai is much more than a simple backdrop.

Shrines, torii gates, abandoned districts and flickering screens point to a world where ancient rituals collided with corrupted technology… and lost.

Outside the game, we’ll expand this universe through our channels and social media: short stories, illustrations, lore fragments and character moments that reveal new layers of the world of Blood & Bytes: Kagura. If you follow our accounts and community channels, you’ll discover a rich, ongoing narrative with many intertwined stories.

Inside the game, certain events, locations, items and encounters are key pieces of the puzzle. Paying attention to what happens in each run, to the details in the environment and to specific characters will help you understand who Kagura really is and slowly decipher the truth behind the endless waves.

The tone is dark, but never hopeless: as long as one squad is still standing, the resistance lives.
