What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I am a solo developer. I handle all the coding, music, artwork, and story by myself. That's why I am eager to release the game and see players' reactions as soon as possible. To fully realize my vision for the final version of Midnight Fury, I need time and support from the players.”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“I plan to release the full version of the game as soon as possible. I believe that players' interest will motivate me. I expect to release the full version within six months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“I plan to add new levels, new zombies, and new game modes.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“There are a total of 10 TeamMates, 6 different weapon upgrades, 5 Max Cobra upgrades, 1 zone (has 6 levels) and the only one game mode is currently operational.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Unfortunately, yes, there will be a gradual increase until the final version. However, this will definitely not be significant amounts.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Player feedback and requests are very important to me. I will definitely take into consideration players' ideas .”

About This Game

In a parallel timeline, Vietnam veterans unknowingly brought a virus back to their countries. Several years later, this virus began affecting some people, turning them into semi-intelligent zombies. The government confined them to quarantine zones. Max Cobra, a former Vietnam veteran, was lucky enough not to be affected by the virus, but he needed to make money. He turned this disaster into an opportunity. While cleaning zombies in different quarantine zones, he illegally turned these actions into a local TV show. He found some sponsors and teammates to support him. The show became so popular that it still breaks viewing records on VHS tapes.

GAMEPLAY AND FEATURES

Test your strategic thinking and quick reflexes to survive against zombie hordes. Key gameplay features:

Wheelchair: Max is a war veteran and uses a wheelchair. This has turned into an advantage for him. With certain upgrades, he can move faster than anyone. He can even fly!

Illegal TV Show Atmosphere: To make money, Max Cobra goes to various quarantine zones in the country and clears zombies. This provides an exciting live broadcast experience for viewers.

Live broadcast, interactive viewers, TV Rating system: The live TV system set up in the game shows the current status of the broadcast. As the rating increases, TV commercials increase as well. This translates into money for you.

Dynamic wave system: The game aims to keep the TV show lively and dynamic continuously based on parameters like the difficulty level you choose, your game performance, and the duration.

Various weapons and upgrades: Upgrades generally enhance the fun of the game as they allow you to stay in the game longer and change the balance of dynamic difficulty. For instance: At the start of the game, your shots will be inconsistent because your weapon and wheelchair need upgrades. Get the Wheelchair brake and Better grip upgrades.

Teammates: If you get the necessary upgrades in the game, you can call teammates!. They will help you with their unique abilities both when they arrive with truck and while they are on the scene.

Zombie Cleaner: At the end of each wave, it cleans up the remaining zombies on the screen. It is a gift from the channel broadcasting your TV show.

Zombie Bus: When there aren’t enough zombies on the screen at a certain difficulty level, Mr. Triumph’s gift(!), the Zombie Bus, arrives and drops zombies at certain points. This increases your ratings but makes your job a bit harder.

Fatal Fury: A well-known energy drink’s content has been specially modified for you. When you use it, you can move faster than anyone. More precisely, everything except you slows down to a quarter of its speed. Purchase the Fatal Fury upgrade to use it. The higher the level you buy, the faster the Fatal Fury Bar fills, allowing you to use it more frequently.

Steam achievements based on difficulty level: You will get very few Steam achievements in the easiest mode, 'Walker,' while you can unlock all achievements in the highest difficulty level, 'Nightmare.'

AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

The game's intro video and ingame backgrounds were first created with 3D renders and then styled using Stable Diffusion. However, no images were created from scratch with ai. The resulting visuals were then cleaned up and refined using PixageFX and a pixel art editor. Additionally, a large portion of the character voiceovers were done using 'murf.ai' except 'Mike Jack'.

Mature Content Description

The developers describe the content like this:

This game explicitly depicts blood and zombie dismemberment in a cartoonish style. Additionally, the female characters in the game wear revealing outfits, but there is no nudity.
