What the developers have to say:

Why Early Access?

“I want DEADCAM to be the best game it can be and for that I need your help! Early Access allows me to build up a community, listen to the feedback and create a bone-thrilling, intense experience along with your help!”

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

DEADCAM is planned to be in Early Access roughly for about a year.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“As the game evolves over time the goal is to expand and add what's already been created. I want DEADCAM to be a rollercoaster ride full of intense, horrifying moments for you to experience and in order to achieve these I am planning, but not limited to, the following features:

  • New Recordings: Each new recording will be set in a new and different location with its own unique story and setting and its own set of horrifying entities.
  • More Diverse Experiences: Each recording will contain its own set of challenges. Leaning more towards survival or more towards psychological-horror.
  • New Creatures and Entities: With each recording will its own set of terrifying monsters and entities. Some may be passive while others might be very hostile.
  • Dynamic Gameplay: I want each playthrough to be as unique as possible and so I'll be planning to implement more dynamic approaches throughout development. This means that item placement, weapons and paths will be much more dynamic as will as the scares within each location.
  • Localization: Localization is planned to be added during Early Access although there's currently no concrete timeline of when this will be added into the game.
  • Additional Options and Settings: I'd like to accommodate the player in as many ways as possible and I'll always keep listening to feedback and suggestions to make sure the game can be enjoyed by as many people as possible.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The game is playable in a limited fashion as some of the planned features are yet to be fully implemented. New recordings and locations are not yet playable. The current state of the game represents a small portion of what I'm setting out to achieve.

The game offers only the first chapter, or, "recording" with a simple inventory system, interactable objects and, of course, scares and creatures.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“The pricing will gradually increase as to reflect the current content and quality of what the game has to offer. As such the game's pricing will be adjusted fairly as new content, features and updates are added to the game.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“Community feedback will be crucial for the development of the game. What resonates and what doesn't, what people like and dislike about the game. Through the comments, AMA's, forum posts and the use of Discord we'll be able to always keep tabs on feedback and criticism and will be directly involved and engaging with the community directly!”
