About This Game

Spada is a gladiator combat game that combines lightning-fast reflexes with rhythm-based button sequences. Every fight is a brutal test of precision, timing, and endurance, set in an unforgiving arena where mistakes are fatal.

Combat unfolds through sequences of button prompts that demand accuracy and rhythm. Success means striking in perfect cadence, chaining attacks, and surviving the relentless pace of battle. The rhythm doesn’t come from music—it comes from the flow of combat itself, turning each fight into a deadly performance where timing is everything.

The Fight

The combat system is unique and based on "time-to-action": there are eight possible buttons, but only one becomes the active button at any given moment. Each button must be pressed within a short timeframe. If you make a mistake, take a hit...

Your goal is to successfully execute a button sequence; only then will you finally be able to attack the enemy!

By landing multiple hits, you will be able to defeat them completely and prepare for the next opponent!

Character & Status System

Your gladiator have five equipment slots:

• Sword

• Helmet

• Chest Armor

• Shield

• Leg Armor

Each item gradually loses integrity when struck, weakening your defenses. Even the sword’s edge dulls over time, reducing its effectiveness as battles progress.

The Health Bar represents permanent damage: it does not regenerate automatically and can only be restored by spending rewards earned after each fight.

The Crowd Bar (on sides) reflects the audience’s favor. It shifts continuously during combat, and your performance carries over to the next battle. Impress the crowd and you’ll start with momentum on your side; disappoint them and even victory may not guarantee their support.

This creates a snowball effect: a strong start amplifies your damage, defense, and resources, while a poor performance makes survival increasingly difficult across a run.
