ペラペラ Mountain is a fast paced action-roguelike helping you learn Japanese. By completing the game you’ll learn full Hiragana, Katakana and over 200 Japanese words. Want to learn more? End game content will teach you vocabulary, kanjis and grammar from JLPT N5 to JLPT N3!

Can I use this game as my only source to learn Japanese?
This game is designed to have fun while learning Japanese, it is not meant to replace textbooks. Use it as a fun way to study Japanese when you need a break from traditional learning methods.

I'm only interested in the action-roguelike part, can I turn off the Japanese learning?
Unfortunately no. Some parts of the game like boss fights will require you to solve Japanese language puzzles to progress. But don't be intimidated by it and give it a try, you might find learning Japanese to be fun!

At which Japanese level does this game become irrelevant for learning?
The current content of the game is aimed at beginners up to JLPT N5 level. End game content to study kanjis, vocabulary and grammar up to N3 will be added in future updates.
