About This Game

Use the daylight hours to expand your city, manage your resources carefully and fortify your defenses. When night falls, the rules change. Relentless waves of zombies advance with the sole purpose of destroying all you've built. Each night brings larger, more dangerous hordes, making preparation your only hope. In the darkness, nothing can be trusted.

In City Defense Z, the way you play defines the outcome. Your use of cards and the placement of buildings reshape the entire battlefield. Spend your daytime gathering resources, expanding your city, and optimizing your defense strategy. Position your units with care and plant mines where they’ll have the most impact.

When night falls, everything you’ve set up during the day is put to the test. Zombie waves come fast and fierce. Call in air support at the right moment and guide specific units by adjusting their attack focus in real time. Stay alert and think quickly to outsmart every incoming threat.

Buildings are the backbone of your base economy and defense. Each building generates specific resources that must be manually collected by clicking when the resource icon appears. Buildings can be merged when 3 of the same type and level are placed adjacent to each other.

Factory Buildings: Produces the main resource used for building and expanding your base.

Ammunition Buildings: Generates ammo needed for soldiers, defenses, and tactical strikes.

Barracks Buildings: Trains soldiers every cycle and enables unit evolution through merging.

Laboratory Buildings: Generates research points for permanent meta upgrades across runs.

House Buildings: Increases population capacity, essential for training and feeding your army.

Merge-Based Building System: Soldiers and buildings automatically merge through strategic grid placement.
