Why Early Access?

“We've had great success with Early Access in the past for fine-tuning and polishing games. This project is planned to have a short dev time, so we're mostly interesting in bug-hunting and community feedback.”

“We are planning for Baldr's Squid Isekai to be in Early Access for only about three months.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version of the game will be a complete 1.0 version of the game and include all intended content. This includes all planned story content, available romances and sex scenes, and all combat levels.”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“The current version of the game has about only a small fraction of the planned content. Expect around 3-6 hours of playtime, depending on difficulty and player skill. Currently, this means that only the introductory story parts are accessible, with limited romances/sex scenes, only one combat area and its associated boss.

There is also a lack in polish as well.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“Yes, we plan to raise the price once the full launch arrives.”

There are explicit sexual acts including penetrative sex. There is no sexual violence or non-consensual sex, or anything that goes against Steam rules.

Violence is limited to cartoon violence typical of many turn-based RPGs. There will be cartoon blood, but no gore.

There will be no clear use of drugs, just insinuated through jokes. There will be consumption of alcohol.

Play as a mighty hero who got isekai’ed into a wet dream fantasy world. Kidnapped by legally and creatively distinct squid villains, you must fight your way out of the… Squid Game*.
