Why Early Access?

Approximately how long will this game be in Early Access?

“Expect 4-8 months of Early Access before formal release.”

How is the full version planned to differ from the Early Access version?

“The full version will have improved visual art, music, and sound effects.

We plan to work on adding climate effects, artifact icons, weekly mutations, tower cosmetics, more commanders, more artifacts, a better commander permanent growth system, a more robust difficulty math system, and Steam platform integration (achievements, etc).”

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

“We have done major gameplay features, basic visual arts, and basic sounds.

Build Pawn, Rook, and Bishop in chessboard-sized levels. Daily Challenge mode is available in addition to Normal Tour mode. Select artifacts when winning in levels and view your collection in the gallery. Gain mastery levels with commanders and earn stats boost as permanent growth.

Note: Knight, Queen, and King are not available in the current version.”

Will the game be priced differently during and after Early Access?

“We plan to gradually raise the price as we ship new contents and features.”

How are you planning on involving the Community in your development process?

“We will be learning from player suggestions. We are particularly interested in getting ideas on designing new artifacts and commanders. Let us know what is in your mind by posting in the Steam community or our Discord server.”
